Archive Certificates
The Association
The Emanuele Cavalli Association is a non-profit organization founded in 2018 with the aim of protecting and enhancing the master's artistic legacy.
The Emanuele Cavalli archive, currently being reorganized, archived, digitized, and studied, includes more than 3,000 paintings and photographs, as well as numerous drawings and illustrations. The book and archive material also includes period magazine articles, exhibition catalogs, and documents. In order to compile the most complete catalog possible of the artist's output, it was necessary to establish a system for monitoring works entering the art market. This control and verification system, whose phases and methods are illustrated in this document, is essential first and foremost for the Association to acquire information on assets pertaining to Emanuele Cavalli's work, and secondly as a support tool for those working in the art sector (museums, galleries, auction houses).
The inclusion of one or more works attributable to Emanuele Cavalli in the catalog can be requested only through this channel and the following methods.
Request Procedure
All those who own works by the master can now report them to allow their inclusion in the Emanuele Cavalli digital archive and subsequently in the artist's General Catalog.
The cataloging will be carried out initially in digital format.
Persons interested in obtaining an archiving certificate for their works can write to the Emanuele Cavalli Association secretariat at info@emanuelecavalli.org.
To facilitate the archiving process, please send the following in the same email:
-
1 high-resolution color digital photograph (300 dpi, "tiff" format) of the front and back of the work; One color digital photograph with an enlargement of Emanuele Cavalli's signature, sent by email to info@emanuelecavalli.org
Once the above-mentioned material for the evaluation of the object has been received, the Association's Scientific Committee will evaluate it according to the necessary timeframe and methods. The quality and completeness of the information and images provided is essential for issuing a decision.
If the quality and technical details of the work are not fully legible and interpretable through digital image analysis, the association will contact the interested party to schedule an in-person appointment to directly evaluate the quality of the submitted material.
If the decision is positive, the interested party will be required to send the following materials to the address of the President of the Emanuele Cavalli Association, Via Santagostino interno 27, 55045 Pietrasanta (LU):
- Three printed copies of the A4 photo of the works;
